Most women are very in tune with how their body feels. We quickly know when something seems off. But often women can spend years going back and forth to their health care teams with no answers. Or you may have a diagnosis, but no help. Which leaves you stuck! Whether that’s menopause, PCOS, an imbalance, or you just know something is off, or you’ve just had a baby.

I have been in your shoes. I have cried in my doctor’s surgery for someone to help me, to hit a brick wall for years. Knowing that for the amount of exercise, I do as a trainer, day in and day out, and living on dust in a calorie deficit, to get fatter and fatter. To be told you are depressed, or just overeating and to come back when you want a baby. But by that time my BMI would be too high for them to help me! I bounced from diet to diet and worked with nutritionists and other personal trainers, yet got very few results. Weight loss was like walking through treacle. As soon as I relaxed my eating, I gained all the weight back and more. I had monthly migraines, water retention and didn’t ovulate. Then along came perimenopause! Anxiety was through the roof, brain fog, hot flashes, migraines… it goes on. There is so much conflicting advice out there regarding hormones. I found myself on very restrictive diets in the hope it would help.

I am a nutritional therapist and personal trainer, but healthy eating and exercise did nothing to improve my condition (PCOS) or ease my peri-menopause symptoms, So I went off and studied hormones and stress. Once I put all the pieces of the jigsaw together. I was able to help myself.
